Welcome to Issue 45 of
The exciting science journal for young people aged 14-19 and their educators. Covering scientific research and industrial developments, real life STEM stories, career journeys, STEM expeditions and adventure.
Research insights and developments, pitched at 14-19 year old students, written by practicing professionals and academics. Catalyst is published 3 times a year with teacher’s notes, to help bring the articles alive in the classroom.
Catalyst Magazine is excited to be supporting Generation Logistics Week with this latest edition of the magazine which explores the use of technology to support sustainability for a more efficient and environmentally friendly world. Content looks at the safety aspects of logistics, how warehouse design improves performance, reduces waste and the importance of apprenticeships to ensure the success of global companies. We explore the piloting of artificial intelligence robotics in supply chain management, examine the world of virtual work experiences and recognise how a great idea in Yorkshire has led to a reduction in food waste and supports local good causes.
Generation Logistics is a major careers awareness campaign that helps keep the nation’s supply chains protected by addressing skills shortages and attracting more diverse talent into roles across the sector. Generation Logistics’ aim is to increase awareness of logistics and to get more people considering it as a great career choice. Our relationship with STEM Learning is at the heart of our education action and as part of our collaboration we have created exciting resources for schools which explore potential careers and practical activities.
